CTO challenge #46

Hey Yall,

Here is my DT project for CTO.  This week is challenge #46 - Anything goes (use polka dots).  I hope Yall hop over and join the fun.  I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.

Here is my take on it!

I couldn't decide what card to use so I posted both! LOL

Card on the left;
*  Measures - 5 1/2 x 4 1/4
*  Paper - Papertrey Ink, "Raspberry Fizz"
*  Black and White paper - not sure the name it was a scrap
*  bling black ribbon - (love it) Celebrate It Basic Basic "Ruban"
*  Stamp - Inkadinkado "Friendship"
*  Bling - Bazzill "Clear"
*  Ink on edges - Tim Holtz "Black Soot"

Card on the right;
*  Card measures 5 1/2 x 4 1/4
*  Blue Paper - Papertrey Ink, "Spring Rain"
*  Green Paper - October Afternoon (not sure what line I think the Farm House line but not 100%)
*  Circle Stamp on blue paper - Inkadinkado "Circles and Dots"
*  "Thank You" stamp - Inkadinkado "Friendship"
*  Brown Ribbon - Garden Twine
*  Ink on edges - Tim Holtz "Brushes Corduroy"

Need Medical Advice Please

Hey Yall,

I wanted to see if I could get advice from anyone who suffers with arthritis or rheumatoid arthritis.  I am having some serious issues in my hands.  I am sure I have arthritis but not 100% about rheumatoid.  My hand have been bothering me for about 6-7 years but this past year has been terrible.  I wake up every morning and both hands are swollen and painful. (regardless if I worked them the day before or not)  My left hand seems to be the worse right now.  I get sharp shooting pains in my top knuckles that run up and down my fingers.  AND  I am pretty sure I now have knots on the sides of my pointer and middle finger top knuckles.  I can not tear anything but rather I have to use sissors; it hurts when I grab the door knob; I can't hold anything heavy; I have no strength in my hand; my son can not pull on my hands; i can not touch them together or interlock my fingers with out pain.  You can imagine how hard it is to craft! :( 

I have tried many different types of over the counter pain meds with not a lot of help.  I started taking the herbal joint health "Glucosamine and Chondroitin" about a week ago.  Nothing yet but it is still early in the game to see help from that.  I am trying to get them looked at by a doctor ask we speak.  I am very nervous though I must say.  I am too young to have issues like this.  I think that is what scares me to most. 

I guess what I asking if any one could give me any advice at all to help with pain or knowledge.

"Family" mini album

Hey Yall,

I just finished a "Family" mini album and I wanted to shar it with Yall.  There are several pictures and I will do my best to describe each one.  SOOOO...here we go!
(p.s. a few post down is a giveaway)

Paper stack - "The Guy Stack" by DCWV
Book - Chip board book from Michaels
Ink - Tim Holtz "Brushed Corduroy"
Warning --- The chip board pieces and charms I do not know the name of.  I bought them about 2 years ago and didn't write the name down...SORRY!

 Front cover;  Charms "Give" and "Share", "Family" stamp (not sure name) embossed with clear powered, Die - Tim Holtz "Hanging Sign" die. I hung sign with jewelry wire and added charms, the left side I used EK Success boarder punches "Scalloped Scallop" and "Bracket Edger" punch.

 Second page;  Ticket - Tim Holtz "Ticket Strip" die, the stamp not sure name, chip board on the right and covered it with glossy accents,  I cut the square out of cardboard and covered with brown cardstock.

Third page; Chip board pieces , the stamps Inkadinkado "Chain Reaction" stamp set

 Fourth page; Film strip Sizzix die "Filmstrip", "Laugh" Sizzix "Phrase Laugh" die.  I covered the "Laugh" and "!" with glossy accents.

Fifth page; Top left corner is a chip board piece, top right Sizzix "Arrows #2" die, bottom right Sizzix "bookplates"die.

 Sixth page; left - chip board piece

Seventh page; ring holes - Sizzix little 2" scallop dies small and medium, middle -  "Label Four" Spellbinders Nestibilities 4.5 inches, top right chip board peice, bottom right little sizzix label 2 ", the white dots on label is "Enamel accents" white.

Back cover; I used the same two boarder punches on the right side, the die is Sizzix "Decorative Accent#2" die

I have not decided if I am going to keep it or give it away.  HHHHMMMMMM  What to do What to do???

CTO Challenge #45

Hey Yall,

This weeks DT team challenge at CTO is "Child's Birthday."  Yall hope over and join the fun.  You can also check out all the other designers projects. 

Here is my take on it;

The receipt;

* Back ground paper - Papertrey Ink cardstock  - "aqua mist"

*  Pink and purple paper are no name papers I have

*  Happy Birthday - Cricut cartridge "Hello Kitty Greetings" page 38 - cut 8.5

*  Crown - Sizzix die "Phrase Hello Kitty with Crown"

*  Crown paper - scrap glitter paper I had

*  Hello Kitty Face - Sizzix die "Hello Kitty Face with bow"

*  Brackets - Sizzix die "Dingbats #2"

* Number 3 - Sizzix die 1,2,3,4,5,#

I dooled with a white jelly roll pen and added little stars to the background

BIG NEWS

Hey Yall,

I sure hope everyone had a safe and amazing New Year!!!!!  Lets start this year out with a positive vibe and tons of love for all!!

NOW...........ON TO MY BIG NEWS!!!!!!! 

I am very very excited to tell everyone I made the DT over a "Celebrate the Occasion."  I hope everyone will join me in the up coming challenges.  This is my first DT and I am crazy excited about it!  SOOOO with out future ado lets get started!

The first challenge is a "Happy New Year Theme."  Anything you want!!!  That sounds fun huh!  Here is my take on it!

Recipe:

*I used "Summer in Paris" and "Doodlecharms" cricut cartridges.
*The tower was cut with purple (even though it kinda looks blue in the picture) Recollections paper.
*The glitter paper is just a piece of scrap so I'm not sure the name.
*The fire works are from "Doodlcharms" page 101. They are actually palm tree tops but I though they were   perfect fire works. (looking outside the box, LOL)
*The numbers are from Sizzix "Easy Peasy" alphabet die.
*The bling around the tower are from Bazzill.
*I attached the fire works with some thin wire and glue dots.
