1st Boat Trip layout

Hey Yall,

Here is yet another 12x12 layout I finished.  If I keep this up I might get caught up on my scrapbook.  I make no promises though. LOL

The 12x12 paper is from My Minds Eye "Complete Boy" collection.  The orange is "terracotta tile" from Papertrey Ink cardstock collection.

The letters are from Sizzix "Round-a-Bout" alphabet set.   BUT  the #1 is from Sizzix big number bigz die.

I used Peachy Keen Stamps "Everyday Character Face Assortment" on the suns' face.
The boat, wheel, sun, and brackets around the words were all cut from the "Life is a Beach" cricut cartridge.  Each on was cut at 2.5 inches and raised with pop dots.   I inked everything with Tim Holtz "spiced marmalade" distress ink.  And last but never the least I doodled with a white jelly roll pen.

I hope Yall like it!

Oh Your Face!!!

Hey Yall,

WOW I'm on a roll now.  My second 12x12 layout this week.....watch me GO!!!!!  LOL

LOL I love love love this picture of my son.  He sure knows how to put a smile on my face. LOL

Here's how I did it:
* The background paper is form "P.etc." and from the "All Boy Words/Solid" collection.
* The blue paper is no name paper I bought for projects like this.
* The "gear" on the blue paper is from Indie Art" cricut cartridge cut at 2 inches. I placed it on the paper and tracked around it with a white jelly roll pen.
* The letters are from "Crate Paper" "Mia" collection.
* I added white button brads on each side of the journal spot.  I typed it on the computer cause I was not liking my handwriting LOL  Sorry though I didn't write the font down.  oopppeeesssss!
* I inked all the edges with "Tim Holtz" "Faded Jeans" destress ink.

I hope Yall like it!

"The Wonders" layout

Hey Yall,

I hope everyone had an amazing Holiday weekend.  I know I sure did....even though I missed my little man pretty bad. :)

Here is my first 12x12 layout in a long time.  Seems I have strayed away from the 12x12 there for a while.  Which mean I am SERIOUSLY behind in my scrapbooks.  LOL

The blue paper is from "We R Memory Keepers" the "White out" collection.  The pattern paper is from "DCWV" the "Latte" paper stack.  The black letters are puffy letters I got from the dollar spot at Target. AND the green ones are vinyl "Thickers."
I inked all the edges with Tim Holtz "jaded jeans"distress ink.  I also doodled with a white jelly roll pen.
I did not want to waste any paper if I could help it so I cut the scraps into strips and journaled on them with a black jelly roll pen.  I also wrote around around the sides.

I hope Yall like it!

Merry Christmas Yall

Hey Yall,

Well my Christmas has now came and went.  We all had our Christmas Wednesday.  My little man is with his daddy this year.  :(  It was so fun to watch him open all his new gifts.  He gets so focused on the little things sometimes.  I bought him a "Go Fish" game and when he turned it on I caught him looking down on it watching the fish go in cirlces.  I bet he did that for 10 minutes.  LOL  Hey at least he likes the toy huh! LOL

I also bought him a blue guitar because he loves music.  When I walked in the door with it (stored it at boy friends house) he ran over to me and started singing away.  He was strumming his guitar the whole time.  LOL  I didn't even get to move from the door mat.  He just loved it and that made my day.

So....for the next few days I am going to my boyfriends house to spend Christmas with them.  Even though I already had my Christmas with Azland I really wish he could be here with me.  BUT  He doesn't get to see his dad that much so I guess that is a pretty cool gift for them both.

MERRY CHRISTMAS YALL!!!!!

Happy Monday Yall

Hey Yall!

WOW WOW WOW can you believe Christmas is this weekend!  WOW were does the time go?

Here are the last of the goodie bags I am doing.  I have to get more candy to finish the bag part.  Between myself, my son and my boyfriend all the candy has walked away! LOL

I used Tim Holtz "Walnut Stain" to ink all the edges.  "My Mind's Eye" Christmas collections.  I created the reindeer out of punches.  (see below how I made them)  All the stamps are from a no name set and "Close to My Heart"  "Say It In Style" stamp set.
LOOK AT THE MESS ON MY TABLE...............SHEESH!  LOL

I created this reindeer about two years ago.  I think he is super cute!  I though I would share him with you so maybe you can give it a try yourself.

ALSO, here is how I store my punch art.  I attach them to white paper, step by step, and keep them in a 3 ring binder.

I sure hope Yall like it!!

8x8 GEARZ

Happy Friday Yall,

Gosh it is hard to believe Christmas is next weekend.  Were does the time go!

Here is a 8x8 page I made.  I have not put a picture on it because I'm waiting to take one that fits this page perfect.  I'm thinking a picture of my son when me makes that confused face after I tell him to do something.  LOL  Sounds perfect to me because you can almost see his wheels turning in his head. LOL

I have been trying to use all my scraps lately so please bare with me on several post were I don't know the name of papers.  The pokadot and brown paper is a pattern paper I LOVE but do not know the name of.  If anyone does please let me know.  The background white paper is from "scenicroutepaper" and the grey is from "papertreyink".
I used "Indie Art" cricut cartridge.  I cut the gears at 3.25, 2.75, and 2.0 on real dial size.  I added pop dots between the layers to add interest.  I also flipped the payers to show each side of the paper.  ( I love double sided papers)

I glued down the 3.25 and 2.0 gears and used the 2.75 one to track around with a white jelly roll pen.  I think that was a perfect way to use up some blank space.

I also took the centers of the gears and used them to finish the page.  I flip the papers to add color.  I doodled all around with a white jelly roll pen and ink all the edges with Tim Holtz "Brushed Corduroy" ink.

I hope Yall like it!!

8x8 hanger

Hey Yall....Happy Thursday!

This 8x8 hanger was made from Papertrey Ink paper stack "The Officials".  The green is also from Papertrey Ink but rather from their card stock collection.

I used an EK boarder punch (I didn't write the name on this one).  The circles are from QuicKutz circle dies.
The buttler fly is a Martha Stuart punch.  I stamped the left side with words that I was feeling in that picture.  The stamps came from Close to my Heart "Say it in Style" stamp set.
I added some eye lets at the top and hung it with garden twine.  I also added bling from Bazzill.
I made the flower from a 1.5 scallop punch from Stampin Up. (also from the same paper collection)  I inked everything with Tim Holtz "Brushed Corduroy" ink.  I also doodled with a white jelly roll pen.
I hope Yall like it!

Hey Yall,

Over at Cricut Cardz Challenge.....the challenge  is to make 2 tags from any cartridge and color you choose.  Well I didn't use any cartridge but rather a few dies from Sizzix.

The red paper is a large scrap I had.  The pattern papers are from "My Mind's Eye."

The tag die is Sizzix "Tag #2" from Brenda Pinnick.  The letters are from Sizzix "Round-A-Bout" alphabet set.  The scallop is from Cuttlebug...its a 2' die.

The twine is from "Scarppy Mom Stamps".  I used Tim Holtz "Walnut Stain" and doodled with a white and black jelly roll pen.  I also used foam tape to add dimension!

Goodie bags

Hey Yall and Happy Tuesday!

I have been making some goodie bags for my sons' teachers at school.  I decided this year I was not going to make them all the same but rather try to use some of my scraps.  PREFECT!!  The only thing I do not like about make these bags is I always eat too much of the candy!  LOL

Most of the papers are from "My Mind's Eye" Christmas collections.

I used several punches and stamps.  Some of the stamps I am not sure the name and others are from "Close to My Heart."  The bags I got from a scrap store years ago.

I hope Yall like it!

Gingerbread Man

Hey Yall,

I bought a gingerbread man chipboard book at Michael's for $1.00.  (Pretty sweet I thought.)  I decided I am going to make ornaments out of them instead of a book.  (because using it for what it is made for is just crazy LOL)
The brown paper I covered it with was some cheaper paper I bought just for projects like this so I don't have to use my thick cards stock.  I used some old red sheer ribbon with white dots as the bow and the hanger.  There is no name on the spool of ribbon, sorry about that.

I used my imaginisce and green bling for the jelly gum drops.  The stamp for the face came from Peachy Keen Stamps "Everyday Character Face Assortment."  How stinking cute is that face!

I doodled with a white jelly roll pen and inked the edges with Tim Holtz "walnut stain" ink.

If yall are going to a Christmas party of any kind or even for the office folks this would make a great and easy gift.  You can write a message on the back and the year.....how easy and cute!

I hope Yall like it!

Snow flake tag

Hey Yall!!

Here is a tag I made...really just messing around and having fun.  It measures 4 3/4 x 2 1/4.  I used Tim Holtz "faded jeans" ink, Sizzix "snowflake #15" die, and Peachy Keen Stamps "Everyday Character Faces".  The Stamp at the bottom is an odd ball stamp I had but not really sure the name.

I also used "Waterfall" Stickles and some blue sting.  I doodles around the edges with a white jelly roll pen and also added some snow here and there.

I love the faces!!

1st full Zentagle journal page

I know my page looks like a beginner and that's OK with me.  I love it anyway.  BUT  I am going to have to get new pens LOL

I started but placing a red sticky tape circle on the page and traced the inside.  Then connected the circles together with lines going all ways.  After that I began filling each space with what ever came to mind.

The journaling I got from "Buddha's Little Instruction Book".   The doodles are done with a silver jelly roll pen and the writing is with a mint green jell pen.

I hope Yall like it!!

Zentangle

This is my first attempt(s) at Zentangle.  If you have not hear of it her is a website to check it out.  http://www.zentangle.com/  I simply love it!  I am sure we all have done it but man oh man is it relaxing.

I already had a book of black paper and some really cool white and silver jelly roll pens.  The only problem I have noticed so far is I feel an addiction coming on. LOL

I think I am going to try to fill a whole page this weekend.  I will post it when I'm done.  I might even use some color but I love the silver.  It not as bright in the picture but the silver and white on the black paper is amazing.
