CTo challenge #48

Hey Yall,

I hope everyone will join me in the fun over at CTO for challenge #48.  This weeks challenge is "Thank You" using a punch.  I hope Yall like my DT project.

Yall be sure to look at my right hand side bar for a giveaway!!!

 This card is a A2 size card. (4 1/4 x 5 1/2)  I used Kraft paper (love it).  The ladybug I made myself out of punches.  I have a chart below that I created about 2 years ago.  The "Thanks" is from Inkadinkado "Thankful for Everything" stamp set.  I doodled with a white jelly roll pen and also colored in the "Thanks".  I love to use bakers twine from "Scrappy Moms' Stamps" when I can and here I used red.  I also rounded the corners with a 1/2 inch corner rounder. AND last but not least I inked the edges with Tim Holtz "black soot" ink.

I have a binder with all my punch art in it and this is how I store it all.  I hope this helps someone.

Using those scraps

Hey Yall,

I wanted to use up some of my stash...you know so I can get a new stash.  LOL  SO....here is a cute card I made so far.

Receipt;

** white card base - Papertrey Ink, "Stamper's Select White" (A2, 5 1/2 x 4 1/4)
** Grey paper - Papertrey Ink "Smokey Shadow"
** Corner rounder - 1/2 " Crop-A-Dile Corner Chomper
** pink polka dot paper - Target scrapbook paper from the dollar spot (score for me)
** "Hi" - Thickers
** Big flower - chip board stash (covered with grey paper)
** Little flower - chip board stash (covered with Target paper)
** backers twine - ScrappyMom's Stamps, hot pink
** button - stash of buttons
** doodles - white Jelly Roll pen

Believe it or not I actually did NOT ink the edges.  Man that was hard!!! LOL

DT - CTO Challenge #47

Hey Yall,
I hope everyone will join my self and the other DT members for some fun over at CTO. This weeks challenge #47 is masculine birthday!!!! How exciting!

** look on my right side bar - I am hosting a "die cut swap" I hope Yall join me!!!!

Here is my DT project;

This is a 12x12 layout;

** paper stack - DCWV "The Guy Stack" (background paper)
** green 8 1/2 x 11 is Papertrey Ink "spring moss"
** letters and numbers - grey chipboard "Thickers"
** star stamp - Ink "Rockpile" stamps and inked with Versamark ink
** blue ribbon - Offrey (from Michael's)
** birthday hats - 3 inches
** I embossed the hats with Cuttle Bug embossing folders "spots and dots"
** Hat paper - Papertrey Ink (grey)"smokey shadow" (green)"spring moss" (blue)"enchanted evening"
** I traced around 2- 4x5 photos on the green paper
** all edges are inked with Tim Holtz "black soot"

I hope Yall like my take on the challenge.
I can not wait to see what everyone comes up with!!!

Die Cut Swap!!!! (CLOSED)

Hey Yall,

I though I would have a super fun "Die Cut" swap.  The rules are super simple.

** Become a follower if you are not already. (if you can post this on your blog for more players)
** Everyone need to cut out (from any kind of machine) 20 different die cuts....any size.
** Try to make them all one basic color so others can ink them to the color they choose.
** Everyone will be send one package and recieve one package. (one package of 20 from another player)
** We will close the swap Feb 1st.  (I will send a message to each person who wants to play)

Sounds like fun huh.  I love to see what others have.  Who knows you might get a die cut you have always wanted.

Feeling Craby??? Card

Hey Yall,

Here is a little card I made for and "cheer up" occasion!  I think this little crab is the cutest!

 The brown paper is Recollections.  The blue paper is DCWV "Crafty Stack." The white paper is water color paper. The crab stamp is from "Imaginisce." The blue boarder is from the same blue paper and I used Fiskard "Effervescence."

I colored the crab with Stampin Up "color pencils." (I couldn't find the color names of the 2 blues I used sorry) The 2 crab stamps are from Scrappy Mom's "Fury Friends" stamp set. The "Thinking of you" stamp is from CTMH "Say it in Stlye."  I also doodles with a white jelly roll pen. (of course LOL) I inked the edges with Tim Holtz "brushed corduroy" distress ink.

Need Medical Advice Please

Hey Yall,

I wanted to see if I could get advice from anyone who suffers with arthritis or rheumatoid arthritis.  I am having some serious issues in my hands.  I am sure I have arthritis but not 100% about rheumatoid.  My hand have been bothering me for about 6-7 years but this past year has been terrible.  I wake up every morning and both hands are swollen and painful. (regardless if I worked them the day before or not)  My left hand seems to be the worse right now.  I get sharp shooting pains in my top knuckles that run up and down my fingers.  AND  I am pretty sure I now have knots on the sides of my pointer and middle finger top knuckles.  I can not tear anything but rather I have to use sissors; it hurts when I grab the door knob; I can't hold anything heavy; I have no strength in my hand; my son can not pull on my hands; i can not touch them together or interlock my fingers with out pain.  You can imagine how hard it is to craft! :( 

I have tried many different types of over the counter pain meds with not a lot of help.  I started taking the herbal joint health "Glucosamine and Chondroitin" about a week ago.  Nothing yet but it is still early in the game to see help from that.  I am trying to get them looked at by a doctor ask we speak.  I am very nervous though I must say.  I am too young to have issues like this.  I think that is what scares me to most. 

I guess what I asking if any one could give me any advice at all to help with pain or knowledge.

"Family" mini album

Hey Yall,

I just finished a "Family" mini album and I wanted to shar it with Yall.  There are several pictures and I will do my best to describe each one.  SOOOO...here we go!
(p.s. a few post down is a giveaway)

Paper stack - "The Guy Stack" by DCWV
Book - Chip board book from Michaels
Ink - Tim Holtz "Brushed Corduroy"
Warning --- The chip board pieces and charms I do not know the name of.  I bought them about 2 years ago and didn't write the name down...SORRY!

 Front cover;  Charms "Give" and "Share", "Family" stamp (not sure name) embossed with clear powered, Die - Tim Holtz "Hanging Sign" die. I hung sign with jewelry wire and added charms, the left side I used EK Success boarder punches "Scalloped Scallop" and "Bracket Edger" punch.

 Second page;  Ticket - Tim Holtz "Ticket Strip" die, the stamp not sure name, chip board on the right and covered it with glossy accents,  I cut the square out of cardboard and covered with brown cardstock.

Third page; Chip board pieces , the stamps Inkadinkado "Chain Reaction" stamp set

 Fourth page; Film strip Sizzix die "Filmstrip", "Laugh" Sizzix "Phrase Laugh" die.  I covered the "Laugh" and "!" with glossy accents.

Fifth page; Top left corner is a chip board piece, top right Sizzix "Arrows #2" die, bottom right Sizzix "bookplates"die.

 Sixth page; left - chip board piece

Seventh page; ring holes - Sizzix little 2" scallop dies small and medium, middle -  "Label Four" Spellbinders Nestibilities 4.5 inches, top right chip board peice, bottom right little sizzix label 2 ", the white dots on label is "Enamel accents" white.

Back cover; I used the same two boarder punches on the right side, the die is Sizzix "Decorative Accent#2" die

I have not decided if I am going to keep it or give it away.  HHHHMMMMMM  What to do What to do???

*  Pink and purple paper are no name papers I have

*  Happy Birthday - Cricut cartridge "Hello Kitty Greetings" page 38 - cut 8.5

*  Crown - Sizzix die "Phrase Hello Kitty with Crown"

*  Crown paper - scrap glitter paper I had

*  Hello Kitty Face - Sizzix die "Hello Kitty Face with bow"

*  Brackets - Sizzix die "Dingbats #2"

* Number 3 - Sizzix die 1,2,3,4,5,#

I dooled with a white jelly roll pen and added little stars to the background

BIG NEWS

Hey Yall,

I sure hope everyone had a safe and amazing New Year!!!!!  Lets start this year out with a positive vibe and tons of love for all!!

NOW...........ON TO MY BIG NEWS!!!!!!! 

I am very very excited to tell everyone I made the DT over a "Celebrate the Occasion."  I hope everyone will join me in the up coming challenges.  This is my first DT and I am crazy excited about it!  SOOOO with out future ado lets get started!

The first challenge is a "Happy New Year Theme."  Anything you want!!!  That sounds fun huh!  Here is my take on it!

Recipe:

*I used "Summer in Paris" and "Doodlecharms" cricut cartridges.
*The tower was cut with purple (even though it kinda looks blue in the picture) Recollections paper.
*The glitter paper is just a piece of scrap so I'm not sure the name.
*The fire works are from "Doodlcharms" page 101. They are actually palm tree tops but I though they were   perfect fire works. (looking outside the box, LOL)
*The numbers are from Sizzix "Easy Peasy" alphabet die.
*The bling around the tower are from Bazzill.
*I attached the fire works with some thin wire and glue dots.
